Zydus's revenue jumps 29% but profit falls 27%

Zydus Lifesciences reported revenue of ₹7,910 crore for July to September, up 29% from a year earlier. Net profit fell 27% to ₹926 crore.

EBITDA fell 6% to ₹1,895 crore, and the margin was 24%.

Spending on research

Zydus spent ₹657 crore on research, 8.3% of revenue. For the first half of the year, revenue rose 25% to ₹15,927 crore and profit fell 31% to ₹1,886 crore.

Net debt was 0.19 times equity at the end of September.
