PPF calculator: Public Provident Fund maturity value

Calculate how much your PPF account will be worth after 15 years at the current interest rate of 7.1%.

How it works

Maturity = P × [((1 + r)^n − 1) ÷ r] × (1 + r), where P is the yearly deposit made at the start of each year, r is the yearly rate and n is the number of years. PPF interest is compounded yearly.

Questions people ask

What is the current PPF rate?

The government has set the PPF rate at 7.1% for October to December 2026. It reviews the rate every quarter.

How much can I invest?

At least ₹500 and at most ₹1.5 lakh in a financial year.

Is PPF tax free?

Under the old tax regime, deposits qualify for the Section 80C deduction, and the interest and maturity amount are tax free. The new regime does not allow the 80C deduction, but interest and maturity remain tax free.
